Amalthea
has to change back into a unicorn through the power of Schmendrick, who has finally found his
own true magic - despite her deep love to Prince Lir. But when Lir dies
trying to save her in a dramatic final combat with the Red Bull the
unicorn remembers her eternal, invincible power and uses them - she is finally fighting
back - driving
the Red Bull into the sea. All the unicorns are freed in a grand final
showdown.
Thousands
of unicorns come out of the waves of the sea and Haggard's barren land
becomes green again, wherever the unicorns' feet touch the ground - whilst Haggard’s
sinister magical castle collapses and disappears completely.

The
unicorns are back on earth. Prince Lir will be reborn through the
magical powers of the unicorn and will be a good king. Schmendrick has become a real
magician after all and Molly a real friend and the unicorn's closest
companion.
Lady Amalthea, who has sacrificed her human love to free the unicorns on
earth, is now forever a unicorn again. But she will be the only unicorn
in the world that knows what regret is – and love.
